The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is a transportation decision-making and planning body with representatives of local, state & federal government and transportation authorities. It is mandated by the federal government for urban areas with a population greater than 50,000. The MPA boundary encompasses the new Urbanized Area and the contiguous area that is expected to become urbanized within a 20-year forecast period.</SPAN></P></DIV>
